Appetites
2.Pleasurable Pursuits: Outrunning the grim reaper
3.Positive Passions:Extend your life by lending a hand
PANTRY PREVENTION:
Low potassium levels may increase a person's risk of stroke according to
research published in the medical journal Neurology. Experts found that
patients with the least potassium in their diets were more likely to
have a stroke than those with higher potassium levels in their food
choices. Bananas are rich in potassium and may help prevent a stroke,
especially in older folks who take fluid pills (diuretics) regularly.
Sexy Appetites:
Men form their opinions on a woman's attractiveness based on observing
her appetite, so say researchers from the University of Toronto. Men
rated women of normal weight who noshed on large meals as more desirable
than those who limited themselves to bird- like portions.

Pleasurable Pursuits:
Outrunning the grim reaper:
Researchers in Texas found that running 20 to 40 minutes a day may
reduce your chances of dying from cancer by up to 66%. Researchers are
not clear on whether the running prevents cancer or improves your
chances of surviving. Either way, you can't lose if you grab a friend
and hit the road running.

Positive Passions:
Extend your life by lending a hand.
People who described themselves as a source of emotional support to a
spouse or as providing visible help to someone in another household were
about half as likely to die than those who did neither. The University
of Michigan researchers who performed the study found that being on the
receiving end of such support did not improve survival.

Laugh of the Month:
"If Wal Mart lowers prices every day how come nothing is free yet?"
