Eating whole oat cereals daily lowered the
need for blood pressure medication and improved overall control of blood
pressure for patients with hypertension in a 12 week study from the
University of Minnesota. Researchers also found that eating these
cereals improved cholesterol and glucose levels.Increasing intake of
whole oat cereals rich in soluble fiber appears to lower your overall
risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
