POSITIVE PASSIONS: Avoid Mad-Man Disease: Don't Have a Cow Medical students who became angry quickly when under stress were three times more likely than normal to develop heart disease prematurely and five times more likely to have a heart attack than their calmer colleagues. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University tracked these students since 1948 and results suggest that people with a high level of anger or at risk for developing heart disease at an early age compared to their more laid-back counterparts.
